Marcel Woods Is responsible for a fast growing popularity of harder styles of trance/techtrance within the Benelux. As we speak he?s bombed # 1 DJ by the clubbers. Large crowds of fans follow him from gig to gig. He played on numerous partys like: Innercity / Frequence festival / Antwerp is Burning/ Shockers/ Mysteryland / Trance Energy / Decibel outdoor / Defqon 1 etc, etc ,etc... Due to a long time dj experience Marcel knows how to treat the crowd in the Marcel Woods way.
Also commercially Marcel took his place by releasing De Bom 2001 through Byte rec. This bommer shot high in the charts all over Europe and was also released in the: USA / China / Japan / Belgium / Korea / Australia and Spain. After this succesfull record he create a different and own sound with the follow up tune called Drama , this track was an instant underground smasher and it was also his first release on ID&T Records. Marcel?s name was noticed as the next man to come...
Even the highly acclaimed Headline Records called Marcel to do a remix for Analog Systems, (producer of Reeloop & Kaylab), Strange Morning In December. And in the same time he was asked to remix the Sensation Theme Song for 2002 , the biggest indoor party in the world!! And as we speak Marcel is doing a remix together with DJ Walt for the track called "Ligaya" from Gouryella by Ferry Corsten. So its no wonder his new release "Time?s Running Out" is already in the box and played from one-sided white labels by DJs like: Marco V / Paul Van Dijk / Don Diablo / Judge Jules / Cosmic Gate etc,etc..
His skills to create a underground feeling in his records is noticed and a lot of DJ/producers find out where Marcel?s Hi-Tech studio is situated. The release together with Yves DeRuyter was even # 1 Tried & Tested on Judge Jules his radio show and at this moment it?s signed to Mondo records in The U.K by Darren Tate. A new collaboration with the Swiss S.H.O.K.K is set for release early next year and it?s called Woodshokk "Tulips & Chocolate".
Besides DJ-ing Marcel is also label owner of Rytmic Records and he is managing/co-producing young names like Walt & Feliz / Showtek / DJ Duro / Geal... He had some massive worldwide dance hits like MDC with Sunny Trumpets which was released on the famous Strictly Rhythm label from the United States. Top position in the U.S.A Billboard chart at # 6.
